DJ Ray (BR)

DJ RAY is an Afro-diasporic DJ and music curator whose career has been shaped by
deep, lived experience on the dancefloor. Known for her high-energy sets, her DJing
moves through funk, rap, and other musical genres that are part of her life repertoire,
creating experiences that connect the dancefloor, identity, and peripheral culture.
Born in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, and raised in Campinas, São Paulo, DJ RAY
developed her relationship with music from an early age, within an environment
deeply influenced by dance, sound, and street culture. The daughter of a b-boy and
DJ, and a mother who is a samba dancer, she grew up immersed in references that
today translate into her musical curation and her powerful presence on the
dancefloor.

With a well-established career, DJ RAY has performed in several cities across Brazil,
including Campinas, São Paulo, Florianópolis, Londrina, Curitiba, Uberaba, and
Salvador. In 2024, she completed her first European tour, performing in Paris, London,
and Milan. In 2025, she returned to Europe for her second international tour, playing
at festivals and parties in cities such as Brighton (Brighton Pride), Berlin, Barcelona,
Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Marseille, as well as a performance in Chile.

In Brazil, in 2025, DJ RAY was part of the lineup of major events and festivals such as
The Town, Tusca, Bienal, and Virada Cultural, further solidifying her name as one of
the standout artists in the contemporary scene.

Beyond the dancefloor, DJ RAY also occupies important spaces in national and
international radio, with appearances on platforms such as Veneno, Half Moon, Rinse,
and Foundation FM (UK), as well as collaborations with the Kondzilla label. She is also
currently the official DJ for the artist Ajuliacosta, one of the most relevant names in Brazilian rap today.
