Cluett (MT)

Cluett made his name by nurturing a teenage obsession for house music. During his formative years he chose to select tracks which contained vocals that touched the heart, along with bass lines and melodies which got pulses racing. 2014: three months of traveling through Asia, one gig at Amnesia Koh Phangan and weeks of 24-hour jungle and beachfront raves later, Cluett had an altered state of mind. Upon his return to Malta, his feelings began to transmit themselves in different, more diverse musical forms: soulful house, even progressive and ambient, but above all, house and techno. During the same summer, Cluett also decided to embark on a project that truly reflects his musical philosophy. His goal is simple. Cluett wants to let people in on his secret by throwing an intimate weekly event where everybody on the dance floor loses all inhibition through one sole factor: Music. This is where DISTRICT comes in, a concept aimed at opening up his crowd to a range of sounds and more importantly, a spectrum of emotions. Since then, district has become a mainstay in the Maltese clubbing scene and Cluett continues to enjoy doing what he loves most, which is getting people dancing. Summer 2016 will see Cluett and District hold a Friday night residency at Club Phoenix, the latest open-air addition to Malta's leading nightlife destination: Gianpula Village.
