Biological (NL)

Biological, the alias of Dutch producer Angelo Faassen, has been active in electronic music since 1990. Inspired by Hiphop his love for the breakbeat sounds of the ’90s and artists such as Silver Bullet, Chemical Brothers, Jedi Knights and The Prodigy, his sound evolved into a blend of breakbeats, deep house, tech house and techno.

In 1996, Biological released his first record on EC Records, founded by Michel de Hey. His music has since appeared on labels including News Music Man and Bonzai Records, with his latest release on Music People.

Alongside music, Angelo has worked across multimedia, visual arts, film music and education, while continuing to produce and develop new material. His current work moves towards a deeper, more refined tech-house sound.

In 2026, he entered a new chapter with Controversial Music Recordings (CMR), his own independent label. CMR will explore five musical identities — Biological, Collaboratorium, BrokenHz, Other Worlds and Album — with new releases planned every month beginning on the 22th of October.
