Ape Drums (US)

Ape Drums is the project of Houston-born Mexican-American DJ and producer Eric Alberto-Lopez, known for a genre-bending sound shaped by dancehall, electronic music and global club culture.

After building an international career through energetic solo sets and collaborations with Major Lazer, he officially joined the group in 2019. Now based in Miami, Ape Drums continues to evolve his sound, moving into a darker, more percussive space rooted in Afro-house and Afro-tech while drawing on influences from reggaeton, funk, Caribbean music and electronic sounds.

Driven by rhythm and an instinctive connection to the dancefloor, his music reflects a career built around movement, cultural crossover and constant evolution.
