Amanda Schupf is a born-and-raised New Yorker, mother, music business executive, entrepreneur, and founder of MAX, a trusted advisor to music rights-driven businesses, founders, and executives. Her work bridges music rights, technology, and capital to unlock new opportunities and drive growth.
Working between traditional music companies and the emerging music technology ecosystem, she helps startups navigate the complexities of the music industry while helping established businesses understand and engage with new technologies, platforms, and commercial models.
More than 20 years across the music industry have given Amanda a practical understanding of the creative, commercial, and rights-based dynamics shaping the future of music and music technology. Her experience spans music publishing, artist, writer, and producer management, distribution, B2B and platform licensing, as well as early hands-on work as a DJ and recording engineer.
Today, through MAX, she advises founders, executives, investors, and music rights-driven companies on scaling revenue opportunities, structuring complex licensing and rights-based deals, commercial positioning, fundraising, and M&A strategy. Her work often involves translating complex products, rights frameworks, and market opportunities into practical strategies that drive revenue, partnerships, and long-term enterprise value.
Amanda's career includes leadership roles at Epidemic Sound, Song Sleuth, Songtradr, INgrooves - now part of Virgin Music Group - Imagem, now part of Concord/BMG. As Chief Commercial Officer of Song Sleuth, Amanda built the company’s commercial go-to-market strategy and secured key industry partnerships that helped position it for acquisition by Epidemic Sound. Previously, as SVP at Songtradr, she was part of the leadership team that drove significant revenue growth, global expansion, and multiple acquisitions.
