Aki Bergen & Richter (IT)

Producing under the artist names of Aki Bergen and Richter, this all Italian duo’s strengths lay embedded in their abilities to complement and inspire each other. Although both artists have enjoyed exploring a wide variety of genres over the years, each stemmed their initial love of electronic music during the 90’s European techno movement and since then have finely tuned their producing, composing and DJ skills. Their communal attraction to anything with a deep groove or melodic sound, has provided them with a solid foundation in which to streamline and empower their new partnership with. As individuals, they have both accumulated many years of experience in the music industry and possess unique qualities that signify their sound and individual flavour. Aki Bergen has been involved in the electronic music scene since the age of 14 and released his first production in 1997. Five years later he founded his first professional studio and soon after, his career started to skyrocket. Within no time he was enjoying success in both the Global and European charts which eventually earned him a Gold Disk award in France. The birth of Starlight Music soon followed and from here the next progression was the launch of Neurotraxx, which was developed as a record label designed to mirror Aki’s ever growing musical endeavours. As a highly respected producer he has contributed and worked alongside a plethora of artists. Names such as Dubfire, Noir, Miguel Migs, D.O.N.S and Massive Attack are just some of the artists among his honour list. Aki also extends himself in the area of teaching and lectures at Universities, sharing his knowledge and wisdom in regards to post production and mixing. Richter’s diversity across a multitude of genres was well established during his years of study at the Conservatory. After graduating and still in his teens, he enjoyed a great deal of activity on the national and international jazz/pop scenes. It was during year 2000 that Richter was gifted with his thirst for electronic music and his interests quickly turned towards producing and Djing. It did not take long before his career kicked off and his skills saw him DJing abroad. At the same time his productions were starting to be highly recognised, which lead to releases on labels such as Universal Studios and Drizzly. Richter’s tracks were soon being spun by dance legends Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong, sweeping dance floors into continuous frenzies worldwide. More recently his sound has been signed to Plus Records, The Zone and Nachtstrom Schallplatten and is receiving support from heavy weights Marco Carola, Ame, Richie Hawtin and Dixon, Aki and Richter’s momentum from here, is to forge a complete union of minds, one that will drive the duo to produce an entirely new sound and one that which draw upon both their individual assets. Both artists see this partnership as a culmination of their creative influences and a tribute to their matured passion for electronic music. Together they are driven and inspired to bring you their best sounds yet. The project aim is to reflect and convey aspects of themselves through their music, with the intent to imprint you with a lasting impression and a burning desire to hear more.
