A native of Kalamazoo, Virkhaus has found success through numerous creative endeavors and left his mark on the entertainment business world wide. Most notably, Virkhaus and his team are the masterminds behind some of the most successful immersive concert visuals and 3D projection mapped experiences of the decade, including Amon Tobin ISAM, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Worldwide, Skrillex Cell, Krewella Volcano and Renato Russo Synfonico.
In 2002 Virkhaus founded V Squared Labs, offering clients premium visual artistry experiences in a boutique environment. The mission of the new company was to push the boundaries of visual art through experimentation and passion for ever more immersive and real time worlds.
Under the creative direction and business leadership of Virkhaus, V Squared Labs has continuously been able to execute a new level of experiential, real-time visual artistry for their clients.
Throughout the years V Squared Labs has managed to stay one step ahead by developing their own proprietary software which integrates real-time computer graphics into unique visual performance constructs. From their EPIC servers and touch designer creations to their 3D mapped scenic sculptures, V Squared Labs is always taking “never been done” concepts and turning them into reality. This process always starts with the blank page, and working with clients to define the words, scenery, illumination, content, interactivity, and the means to deliver it all. Virkhaus has had the opportunity to do this with some of the most creative artists, brands, musicians, and media conglomerates on Earth.
The visual works created by Virkhaus and V Squared have have earned numerous accolades in recent years. Some recent notable mentions include -
