AI in music has moved past the theoretical. Labels are signing licensing deals with the same AI platforms they were suing a year ago. Streaming services are quietly diverging on whether AI-made tracks should get paid at all. And in studios and bedrooms everywhere, artists are already using these tools — sometimes to write, sometimes to produce, sometimes just to move faster — often without a clear sense of what it means for their rights, their sound, or their livelihood. This roundtable brings together artists working at different points on that spectrum for a conversation without the usual hedging. Where does AI genuinely help the creative process, and where does it flatten it? Is the fear about AI actually a fear about something else — loss of control, of income, of authorship? Who's actually benefiting from the current wave of licensing deals, and who's being left out of that conversation entirely? No easy consensus expected — just artists talking honestly about a tool that's already reshaping their work, whether they asked for it or not.
