This session will delve into the critical issues of diversity, inclusion, and burnout prevention within the music industry, providing actionable insights and practical tools for fostering a supportive and thriving environment.
Lilia 'Dangermami' brings her extensive experience as the founder and general manager of Femme Bass Mafia, a pioneering mentorship program that champions inclusivity and support for women and non-binary DJs. She will discuss the importance of communal support structures and share how Femme Bass Mafia addresses systemic issues within the industry. Her focus will be on creating inclusive spaces that not only prevent burnout but also nurture creativity.
Tristan Hunt, a certified Transformational Coach with specialized ADHD training, will offer valuable perspectives on managing ADHD within the music business. With over 20 years of industry experience, Tristan will highlight the unique challenges faced by individuals with ADHD and demonstrate practical tools and strategies for overcoming these hurdles. Louisahhh, an acclaimed artist and co-founder of the RAAR label, will bring her experience as a performer and advocate for intersectional feminism and mental health to the discussion. She will address how marginalized individuals in the music industry can be better supported and how businesses can implement inclusive practices that benefit everyone. Louisahhh will also touch on her work as a consent educator, emphasizing the importance of safety and awareness in creative and professional environments.
The panel will explore how dysfunctional systems can be reformed, the specific needs of marginalized groups, and effective tools and resources for preventing burnout while fostering creativity. Attendees will gain insights into creating supportive environments that enable all voices to flourish.
