Film: Vlag
Short movie ‘Vlag’ tells the story of Sef who doesn’t feel represented any more by a flag – or at least: a flag that doesn’t represent everybody, excludes people or under which wars have been started. “Vlag”’s storyline is a hopeful scream for a systematic change of our current societal norms. Nowadays everything revolves around growth and accumulating wealth, without considering the consequences this has on others and the world around us. Acknowledging this is the most important first step, and after that we’ll figure it out together Short film ‘Vlag’ was made as an extention of Sef’s most recent album ‘Ik Zou Voor Veel Kunnen Sterven Maar Niet Voor Een Vlag’ (2023). He co-wrote and directed the film, and all music was made by Sef as well.

Korte film 'Vlag' vertelt het verhaal van Sef die niet meer achter de
vlag staat, althans niet voor een vlag waar we niet allemaal achter
kunnen staan of waar bloed aan kleeft en mensen uitsluit. "Vlag" is een
hoopvolle schreeuw om systeemverandering. Alles draait om oneindige
groei zonder enig oog voor de desastreuze consequenties van die groei.
We zijn uit het oog verloren dat het ooit anders is geweest, en het dus
ook weer anders kan worden. Hoe we dat doen, zoeken we gaandeweg samen uit. Erkennen en beginnen is het belangrijkst. Na de film is artiest en
creatief director Sef aanwezig om vragen van het publiek te beantwoorden.

ADE Lab returns with a four-day programme from ADE Wednesday to Saturday at the Brakke grond and many more venues around the Amsterdam Nes area.
We do not sell ADE Conference only or Day Passes. The only way to get access to the ADE Pro Conference is the ADE Pro Pass.

Our conferences are accessible for all ages in general. Do note that when alcoholic beverages are served, access can be denied.
