Unboxing Online Royalties: How To Make Money As A Composer, Author or Publisher?
Jurjan Rietveld (Manager Online Operations Buma/Stemra), James Frostick (Head of Online Licensing at Buma/Stemra)
Online revenues are an increasingly important revenue stream for our rightsholders. But how do we get to the amount ending up on your bank account? In this workshop we’ll lift the cover from the infamous ‘black box’ and will explain why the streamvalue does not exist, how we come to agreement with large DSP’s and what you can do to ensure a smooth royalty flow. We’ll talk you all the way from the dealmaking process until the actual pay out and show you what’s inside the exciting box called online royalties.
