Ultra: Into The Future - A Conversation With David Waxman
David Waxman
Moderator: Joe Muggs
As the head of A&R at Ultra Records, David Waxman was instrumental in delivering multiple platinum hit singles, award winning remixes, and chart topping albums, alongside helping to develop superstar talent in electronic music. During his time with Ultra he has worked with artists including Alina Baraz, Armin van Buuren, Benny Benassi, Black Coffee, Carnage, Chelsea Cutler, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Louis the Child, Steve Aoki, Pitbull, Tiesto and many others. Now company President, he oversees the management and day to-day operations of one of the world's best known global electronic and dance music labels, while still being responsible for identifying and developing new artists and projects. Waxman, alongside writer and industry expert Joe Muggs, will be opening up about the challenges ahead, his vision of the creative power of labels of the future, and working in a hybrid role with a major label.
