Groundbreaking Dutch hip-hop artist and producer sor has been combining his passion for hip-hop and orchestral classical music in a range of exciting and successful projects. Losing part of his hearing in 2018, he used this setback as a creative engine - looking for new ways to continue working on his musical passions, utilizing synthesizers, his hearing aid and a SubPac tactile audio system that makes it possible to feel sounds. In just a few years, he has made a huge impact on the Dutch scene, performing his music in classical music holy ground the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, becoming the winning orchestra conductor in popular television show Maestro, working with artists like Winne, S10, Hef and Jonna Fraser, and releasing several well-received solo projects. In his virtual One-Man Museum, sor will talk about his artistic inspirations and influences, and the development of his own creative vision, strategies, process and career, based on a thoughtfully curated collection of unique artefacts that are essential to him, his life and his art. In this interactive 1-on-1 interview Sor will discuss cross-genre creativity, inspiration, experimentation and collaboration, and touch on several major milestones and discoveries in his musical life and career path.
