Moderator: Pay Kolmüs
Hip-Hop and tech pioneer, producer and artist Arabian Prince has played a crucial role in the West Coast hip-hop culture and scene since the 1980’s. He made his impact as an influential producer, building a catalogue with a range of successful 12-inch singles, helping to define the early electro rap sound. As West Coast hip-hop culture took over the world, Arabian Prince was one of the most sought after DJ’s in L.A.’s hip-hop scene, and an original member of N.W.A. - producing, touring and working closely with Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and others, before financial reasons made him leave the group to focus on his solo music and creating an exciting career in tech. He is president of LAFTC – the Los Angeles First Tech Challenge robotics competition - and has developed into an inspiring innovator and business founder, advising companies on bridging the gap between technology and youth, and working with his tech partners to proactively promote opportunities within the tech world for a more diverse demographic. An interactive talk with a true pioneer, on a unique creative and entrepreneurial experience - all the way from his N.W.A. days, to the latest exciting developments in music and tech, and his endeavors towards creating a more equal platform with the global tech industry.
