Clean The Beat: Amsterdam

Clean The Beat: Amsterdam

Clean The Beat is a new global event series of artist-led, music-powered cleanups brought to life by Bye Bye Plastic Foundation.

The cleanup event will be held on the canals of Amsterdam in partnership with local organisations like Plastic Whale, Heartfeldt Foundation, and a musical lineup including no others than Sam Feldt, SHARE (aka Sharon Pieksma, Miss Netherlands 2019 who made a splash of awareness with her plastic dress), Parallells, & many more.

Clean The Beat doubles up this unique music experience with sharply focused end goals for the plastics collected. Namely, circularity in order to extend the lifecycle of collected waste by introducing it back to the economy. But also, data collection, for instant information & long-term research by the scientific community. Sorting, counting and classifying each item creates an essential new record of information about the scale, and nature, of the plastic pollution problem.

Let's meet up at Waterkant for 2 hours of music-powered canal cleaning, followed by some bites & refreshments celebrating the collective power of action!
