Minimal x Nxt Museum w/ Willikens & Ivkovic, visuals by Desilence

During this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Minimal & Nxt Museum are joining forces to digitise the dance floor. The worlds of contemporary electronic music and digital art will merge into an immersive online audiovisual experience to be showcased worldwide.

For this show, Minimal and Nxt Museum are seeking to create a new experience at the intersection of the material and immaterial, between dance and movement, closeness and distance. Projecting a burst of visual glitches and sonic ventures, the 24th of October is set to engage the body with a line-up across disciplines, aligned in force and vigour.

Visual performance by Desilence

Desilence

— With a deep devotion to the tactility of paint and the mesmerism of movement, Desilence fills 370 square meter of projection surface with visuals that constantly shift the sensation of sound and light. At this night in particular, the world-renowned Danish/Spanish duo will synchronise their visual scripts with two DJ sets that move the mind into an upbeat trance.

Willikens & Ivkovic

— Willikens & Ivkovic’s beats will pulsate to the hypnotic movement of Desilence’s visual eruptions, giving rise to a soundscape that oscillates between natural and ritual. Both sharing their cradle at Salon Des Amateurs, Lena Willikens and Vladimir Ivkovic are well-known for summoning body music that slowly and steadily takes over flesh and bones.

Woody92 b2b Spekki Webu

—Making way for a new generation of proto trance, Spekki Webu and Woody92 become one with the computed pathways of Desilence. Engaged with the wide array in which psychedelic sounds manifest, the duo covers a broad spectrum of psy and goa-trance, IDM, glitchy experimentals and tribal tech crunching through the airwaves. In sync with the crisp visuals by Desilence, Spekki Webu and Woody92 turn the virtual into spiritual.
