Young Creators: LiveLoop

Josep Garces is a Spanish multi-instrumentalist, composer, and creative design engineer. He studied classical and jazz clarinet and saxophone in Spain, under the guidance of renowned musicians such as Jesus Santandreu, Javier Vercher, and Perico Sambeat. In 2012, Josep moved to the Netherlands, where he continued developing his music career by following an MA in Live Electronics at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and also pursued an engineering career, working as a 3D design engineer in research & development for high-tech companies in Spain and in the Netherlands. In his musical journey - a synthesis between acoustic instruments and music technology - Josep combined his design engineering & music performance experience to create a Professional Music Software for Live Looping. LiveLoop was developed to expand the possibilities of the looping technique, aiming to provide musicians with versatility and complexity of features, empowering them to compose with maximum creativity. Breaking all-instrumental borders, LiveLoop is a multi-faced instrument in a journey of groves, raw sounds, FX & distortions, created for live performing musicians and artists who wish to experiment with new sounds and new possibilities of music creation. In his Young Creators workshop, he will show the potential of LiveLoop by showing a couple of music pieces. He will also explain how he makes music with the LiveLoop and show the possibilities of this new technology.

Registration for this workshop is only possible with an ADE Sound Lab wristband.
