Talking Money with Project Money

Music rights, copyright and licensing, and especially how to make sure you as artist get all the money for your work that you deserve, is a pressing issue in the modern-day music industry. It can be a puzzle sometimes. Do al contributors to a project need to be connected to Buma/Stemra? Does Sena pay out for your performances? And when should you become a member of NORMA? The main music rights organisations of The Netherlands joined up for initiative Music Rights on Tour to answer these questions once and for all. At ADE Beats 2019 they are joined by Dutch producers Project Money, the duo responsible for a series of multi-platinum records topping the Dutch chart since 2015. Their distinctive and rich sound in pop, hip-hop, and dance has resulted in over 400 million streams on Spotify and over a 140 million YouTube views in three years, and international collaborations with artists like Steve Aoki, Ariana Grande, Young Thug and Nicky Jam. In this talk Project Money will discuss the music rights and business side of their music of how they organized their rights and finances with specific focus on one track, Spijt by Maan and Jonna Fraser.
