A first glimpse at ADE Green's program for 30 YEARS ADE

Sustainability and social change in the electronic music world
Over the past decade, ADE Green has grown into a vital space for sustainability and social change in the electronic music world. A place where new ideas and unexpected partnerships form and where you realise you might have something to add.
Dive into the topic's of this year's Conference below.
Water
Water is our most essential necessity, vital to our health, economy, and environment. Technical solutions alone are no longer enough; we need a fundamental transition in how we manage and value water. This inspiring session brings together pioneers who are turning these challenges into solutions. Maarten van 't Veld (ID&T) shares how Decibel outdoor is successfully transforming into a circular living lab. Artur Mendes (Boom Festival, PT) showcases the power of off-grid innovation and community-driven water awareness.
The food system shake-up
In this interactive session dedicated to understanding our food system, sustainability, and the future of flavour. You will discover practical solutions to make your own events or festival menu delicious, appealing, and low-footprint, while testing your own food knowledge and biases along the way.
This session is hosted by two leading experts with over 20 years of experience in food, events, and sustainability. Maartje Nelissen, food innovator, founder of Plant FWD, and 2025’s Food Hero of the Year, brings her energetic style and contagious belief that better food creates a better future. She is joined by Lyke Poortvliet, co-founder of Buro Nuvo (formerly Green Events) and theme lead Food & Beverage at the Green Deal Circular Festivals, who specialises in making major event catering circular.

Meet the Experts
15 experts, 5 rounds, 1 hour to have the conversations you won’t find anywhere else. This speed-dating format is your chance to connect directly with the thinkers and doers reshaping the field of sustainability and social change. Limited seats, maximum access: come early, ask bold questions, leave with ideas and contacts that can help you take the first or next impactful step. Experts will be announced at the end of summer.
Can Different Forms of Ownership Protect Community, Culture and Purpose?
As the electronic music industry consolidates, more festivals, venues, agencies and platforms are becoming part of larger groups and investment portfolios. While this can bring scale and resources, it also raises questions about independence, purpose and long-term decision-making. Around the world, alternative ownership models, from foundations and cooperatives to employee-owned and steward-owned organisations, are offering a different path.
Can ownership structures help protect cultural values and community purpose? And what can the music industry learn from organisations experimenting with new ways of owning and governing culture?
ADE Green drinks
At the end of the day, we will connect & share new ideas during the ADE Green drinks in the Felix Meritis restaurant.
