sven vt started djing in 1997 after years of blatant punkrock mayhem and hiphop excursions. coming a long way from jungle and drum and bass, he finally rediscovered his love to house and techno which had cooled down (after a short but passionate period of hometaping early raveclassics from the radio at the late 80s and early 90s) in his angry years of adolesence. in 1999 he started to work at de:bug magazine, one of germanys leading magazines for electronic music and eventually became an editor there. one year later he got his first residency at berlins renowned club wmf where he still plays regularily, and soon he conquered the decks at every respected club in berlin (tresor, panoramabar, maria, polartv, sternradio, watergate, weekend.). not forgetting the countless crazy afterhours (beatstreet, bar25 ...) that make berlins vibe so special these days. his sets combine a distinct and varied style from deep and minimal house to jacking techno tracks. he is still paying regularily at panoramabar and wmf and is currently working in different projects on his first studio tracks which will come out later this year on memo (bpitchs new minimal-sublabel) and on junion (a new label by jay haze and jambi). watch this space!. Fritz Zander, born in Minneapolis, MN, but raised in the southern German city of Konstanz, made his move to Berlin at the end of the 90s, where he quickly became ingrained in the city's legendary house and techno scene. Through his production, remixing and, most of all, his DJing skills, he has been a regular at every party, club and festival that matters, in what is now widely considered the european mecca of house and techno. For many years he was an integral part of the Bpitch Control label family, producing and remixing for their A list of artists such as Ellen Alien and Paul Kalkbrenner, releasing his own singles alongside Sven Von Thülen as Zander VT, and playing worldwide at their infamous label nights. In addition to his work with Bpitch, Fritz has been a part of numerous other Berlin based musical projects, with one example alone being his role as a founder member of The Whitest Boy Alive with Highfish and Erlend Oye, a band he later left to concentrate on his solo endeavours. Fritz's remixing skills have been utilised by such heavyweight artists as DJ Hell, Ian Pooley, Trickski and Mark August, on internationally respected labels such as Gigolo, Ovum, Kanzleramt, Curle and Playhouse, to name but a few. As a producer and remixer, Fritz has proven his talent for an array of artists and labels but his most well known project to date, was formed with Sven Von Thülen, as Zander VT. Since the beginning of 2012, the two friends are going their separate ways and the artist formerly known as Fritz Zander is here once again. As a DJ, Fritz is known as a regular face behind the decks, at all of Berlin's clubs that truly matter. Be it for his regular sets at the now defunct Bar 25 or WMF or his roof raising sessions at near mythical institutions such as Tresor or Panorama Bar. And, of course, there is also the little matter of his exclusive residency at the excellent Watergate club. Add to this a whole lot of air miles as he continues to travel and guest at an array of the worlds best clubs, and you begin to get some idea of his current profile. Presently Fritz is working closely with SUOL, one of the most interesting labels Berlin has to offer at the moment. Where he works alongside artists such as Fritz Kalkbrenner, Till Von Sein, Daniel Bortz, Trickski and Chopstick & Johnjon, on their unique vision of the future of electronic dance music.
