Bas van Daalen, better known as Van Dalen, born and raised in Waalwijk, a small city in Holland, was always busy creating music. When he was only 6 years old, he played songs on a small keyboard he heard on the radio and television. After a while, his parents (Hennie van Daalen and Marina van Daalen) thought it was better for him and his musical development to get piano lessons. After 7 years of playing, he stopped taking the lessons. "I felt I was acting like a robot and playing songs from other artists all over again. I want to do this by my own." When he got his first computer, Bas started to create music in a different way. He downloaded the Fruity Loops demo to create some music. After seeing DJ Tiësto on television he had an inspirational vibe and he created his first house track. And there was Van Dalen... After years of developing his own sound, he made a new track and the well known DJ Alvaro texted him he wanted to collaborate. And there was Van Dalen's new track with Alvaro: Oldskool. With over a 400.000 views till now on youtube, oldskool became a massive hit and it started to become massive on the internet. With a worldwide premiere on Afrojack's radio, Oldskool became a massive crowd puller. Hardwell started to play it in every live-set all over the world on the biggest festivals and clubs. With Tomorrowworld, Mystery-land and more amazing festivals on its name, Oldskool became a major edm banger with support from names like DJ Tiësto, Hardwell, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and many more.. Till now Van Dalen's succes has not gone unnoticed. His fanbase has been growing in a rapid pace since the very start.
