Trino Treviño is the Editor in Chief of THUMP in Mexico, the channel of culture & electronic music of VICE Media. A complete Journalist since college, he has interviewed pretty much every of the Top DJ on
the list, from Armin van Buuren, Avicii, to artists like Boys Noize, Carl Cox, John Digweed plus many more. He recently published on of the
most successful articles in THUMP, “A Generation of DJs is Skilled
in Marketing and Social Media, but not Music Production”. He started his career as DJ in 1999, at the young age of 10 years old and since then the passion for Electronic Music has been in his life till now. He has been resident DJ for many nightclubs in Mexico City as well as a radio producer for Ibero 90.9, the best radio station of Indie Music in the country. He was in charge for four years of the radio show, Noches de Lobohombo, one hour mixes made by Mexican and international DJs, such as Diplo, Steve Aoki, The Wookies, Bran van 3000, Le Castlevania, plus many more.
Previously he worked at EMPO/+Mas Label as the Content Manager and A&R for the label platform, making it a big media company and rising the awareness of the brand (and the label itself) on the internet.
Currently he has one hour of radio show at Beat 100.0 FM in Mexico, the biggest dance music radio station in the country. He is also booking agent, promoter and manager for local DJs.
