Stephanie Afrifa is a curator and presenter with a passion for innovation in art, fashion, cultural sciences and well-being. Afrifa obtained her Bachelor's degree in Comparative Arts and Cultural Studies at the Radboud University, with a focus on representation in the arts and American Studies.The lack of diverse voices in her personal environment, her studies and all layers of the art and fashion world inspired her to start an art blog. For this she studied the cultural field in mainly Western Europe and the United States from an innovative perspective. Since the start of her blog, Afrifa has worked with the Stedelijk Museum, De Bijenkorf, PUMA, Van Gogh Museum, EYE Filmmuseum, Museum Rotterdam and Kunstlinie Almere Flevoland. Afrifa regularly participates in public debates and opinion programmess. For example, she is a regular table guest at De Wereld Draait Door where she discusses popular art and culture. A highlight is her interview with the world-renowned artist and filmmaker Ai Wei Wei. As a presenter she has contributed to Vogue Fashion Festival, The Hague Contemporary Art, ING Unseen Talent Awards, Black Female Achievers and the talk show Skin Deep. Her written work has been published in Harper's bazaar. She also fulfills the function of board member at the Rotterdam Art Foundation.
