Sydney born but living in London for longer than she would like to admit, Soraya was responsible for the meteoric rise of Above & Beyond and their record labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep. This was followed by a stint managing and marketing artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Groove Armada, Miike Snow and Jacques Lu Cont. Proceeding over 6 years working for other agencies, April 2012 saw Soraya set up The Bakery, a marketing and management agency designed for the music industry at large. Clients included double Grammy award winner Benny Benassi, Delta Heavy, Syco Music and Warner Music among others. Featured in the Music Week 30 under 30, Soraya frequently speaks on panels at conferences globally including Beats Evolution Conference, Bitspiration Festival, and Brighton Music Conference. During 2016 and 2017 she lectured at Westminster University on the music business masters course and guest lecturers at other educational institutions regularly and is a mentor for East London Academy of Music college students. She is also a regular contributor to Little Black Book as a bi-monthly writer. Whilst the business still runs, Soraya is works as Head of Creative Development for MassiveMusic - a music creative agency. This role sees her presenting to agencies and brands alike across the media sector and inspiring and educating people on sound and music. A self-proclaimed nerd, she is currently studying an Executive MBA at Cass Business School, City of London University with a focus on corporate strategy
