Sjeroem (NL)
Artist
Sjeroem got his first real exposure to house music in the early 90s. That is why his style cannot be clearly described, as this hardworking man combines the different styles he discovered on his musical journey to create a hyponotizing and groovy vibe, but always with his eye firm on the dancefloor.
His blend of deephouse, techhouse, techno and everything in between along with his smooth mixing skills got some serious acknowledgement on 22 April 2011, when he won the Haerlemsche DJ-contest. Ever since, this Haarlem-based DJ is quickly gaining attention. He has been asked to perform in different clubs and on different stages and festivals all over the country and even in Germany.
2012 was an extraordinary year which continued throughout 2013 with bookings at Club Air, Undercurrent, Edit Festival, Amsterdam Studio's, 18hrs Festival, Studio 80 and Pand 48. He featured on line-ups next to the likes of Marc Romboy, Oxia, Butch, Fairmont, &Me, Adam Port, Deepchild, Yapacc, David Faust, Nicone, Sascha Braemer, De Man Zonder Schaduw, Gary Beck, Juan Sanchez, Oliver Schories, Rampa, Tigerskin, Freddy Spool, Subb-An, Olivier Weiter, Carlos Valdes, Wouter de Moor, Miss Melera...to name a few.
Just before his win in the contest, Sjeroem started his own party-organization, De Beat Industrie, which introduced one of the most successful underground club nights in Haarlem, called Grenzeloods.
As a result, De Beat Industrie has been asked to host also stages at Amsterdam's Studio 80, at Leiden's LVC and during Format at Club Air.
Along with his brother Verdi, Sjeroem hosted 3 successful clubnights in Club Air with Nightriders in Amsterdam. He is also part of the Wasserette crew hosting parties throughout Amsterdam.
His plans for the future are to continue rocking many other clubs and to start producing records as well.
You are all warned...this guy definitely knows how to create a party!
