Nik Feral (GB)
Its the 21st May, 1982. Opening night of The Hacienda club in Manchester, England. British comedian Bernard Manning stands on a rickety stage and proclaims: "Ive played some shit-holes during my time, but this is really something". Little did he know that this now infamous club would become the throbbing core of the UKs house and techno scene throughout the late 80s and early 90s. By the time Manchester-born house and techno producer Nik Feral began thrilling audiences across Europe with his scalpel-sharp arrangements, The Hacienda was long closed. But that's not to say Feral doesn't have the weight of Manchester's legacy behind him. And with history comes expectation.
