Neon River (NL)
Neon River is an Amsterdam-based trio turning high-level jazz craft into performance-led electronic music. The group is Chaerin Im on synths, Matteo Mazzù on bass, and Pedro Nobre on drums. Their live set builds club energy from real-time interplay and groove. Influences include Flying Lotus, Floating Points, Soccer96, and Aphex Twin.
Neon River is represented for bookings by Dox Live, underscoring live-market confidence before a first commercial release.
The project’s identity is documented in filmed sessions from Amsterdam, including NDSM Treehouse and Hidden Gem Studio, where the trio’s “electronic indie dance experimentation” approach is captured on stage and on camera.
Each member arrives with a strong individual track record. Chaerin Im won the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award in 2024 and was named a Young Artist of the Year by NRC, anchoring the band’s harmonic language and synth sound design. Matteo Mazzù is very active in the European touring scene with bands such as Oracle Sisters and WAAN. Pedro Nobre is the drummer with NAUSYQA, winners of Keep an Eye The Records 2024, bringing dynamic control and contemporary club feel to an acoustic kit.
The result is a live electronics trio with credible jazz roots and a clear dance-floor focus, presented with a fully playable show and growing video proof of concept.
