Mattijs van Welzenis (NL)

Mattijs van Welzenis runs the label department at Cloud 9 Music as Head of Recordings out of the new office in Laren. He is overlooking the label with artists Kris Kross Amsterdam, Jaap Reesema, BENR, Savine, Martin Jasper but also sublabels and joint ventures like ‘Dreamteam Music’ with Big2 and artists Antoon, Lola Cedès, ‘Roq N Rolla Music’ with artists Snelle, Tally, ‘Lieve Jongens Music’ with Ammar, Pjotr, ‘Kill Your Darlings’ with MrPolska, The Boy Next Door, ‘Alpha Music’ (Paul Sinha), ‘I Love Beatz’ (Paul Elstak). But also compilations from ‘Kids Top 100’, ‘Het Beste Uit De Top 40’ to ‘Hardstyle Top 100’ and many more. Signing new talent and focusing on both single and long-term strategic artist building. The connection between the publishing division of Cloud 9 is valuable where lots of synergy is found and created.

Mattijs has a lot of experience in the dance industry both label and management. He got connected with Hardwell back in 2007 and teamed up for the next decade. Started Revealed Recordings together with Hardwell in 2009, which has grown into one of the leading labels in the Dance scene, A&R of the label and Artist Manager at Sorted Management representing Hardwell, Dannic, Dyro and focussing on Music Management.
