Martin K4rma (FI)

Artist

“A light in the darkness of Northern Europe has begun to shine. MARTIN K4RMA, Finland's most promising techno artist, known for his stormy performances, is spreading his wings into the world of techno”

Martin has always felt like an older soul among his peers, firmly believing in karmic principles. Good deeds lead to good karma, and the same applies to behaving wrongly, which results in bad karma. "What goes around comes around," and he lives by this motto daily, endeavoring to share positivity and love with people through his music and as a human being. His music features a stark contrast between the elements that reflect life's usual ups and downs, making it worth living. It combines hopeful, mysterious, and soul-touching melodies with energetic, dark, and powerful beats and sound design.

His music has been streamed over 5 million times, and he has made appearances on the Peak-Time Beatport top 100 Techno playlist multiple times. He is the first Finnish producer to feature on the world's largest Techno playlist, "Techno Bunker," with his release "Something Wrong" on "SayWhat?" Recordings. He has already performed in places like Turkey, Spain, Lebanon, Estonia and Bulgaria and his music has garnered support from artists like Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Wehbba, Layton Giordani, Monika Kruse, and Joseph Capriati, among others. Martin's live performances are also highly acclaimed for his infectious energy and unique mixing style.

However, Martin wasn't always so determined about his path. He discovered his passion for sharing positivity and love at a children's camp where they would host discos at night. Martin developed a love for electronic music at a young age, inspired by the early 2000s EDM scene. When he started playing this music at children's summer camp discos, he became addicted to the feeling of making people dance and bringing happiness with his music. Without even realizing it, he had found his life's purpose.

Martin's early music career began as a DJ at the age of 15, performing at numerous clubs in Helsinki. After a few years, he realized that being just a DJ wouldn't take his career far. Therefore, at the age of 21, he started learning music production. His productions quickly gained recognition within the techno community, leading to his first successful EP on a respected techno label called "Codex Recordings," in collaboration with German legends Teenage Mutants. Following this successful release, he has released on labels such as "Filth On Acid," "Autektone," and "SayWhat?," to name a few. He remains dedicated to the music and the underground scene he loves, continually pushing the boundaries of techno, experimenting with new sounds and techniques to create innovative and timeless music.
