Mark van Bergen (NL)

Mark van Bergen is a lecturer, researcher, and writer on electronic music culture. His debut book 'Dutch Dance' (2013) won the Pop Media Prize, the most prestigious award for music journalism in the Netherlands. Other book projects by Mark include 'Thunderdome' and 'Awakenings'. At Fontys University of Applied Sciences, he prepares students for careers in the electronic music industry while pursuing PhD research on how EDM event participation affects individual well-being. Mark is a regular speaker at panels and in the media, from ADE to The New York Times.
