Last Mood is not as unsettled as his name suggests. He has lived in Berlin, London and currently Rotterdam to sharpen his sound and make it his own. Infatuated by the classic Detroit sound he played at venues such as Bloc (Barcelona), Tresor (Berlin), Bar Music Hall (London), Perron (Rotterdam) and Toffler (Rotterdam) to name a few.
His popularity has grown since he hit the scene on Berlin based label Dirt Crew with his remix of Lady Blacktronika’s ”If Some Rain” in 2012. Labels such as Dirt Crew and Finale Sessions rapidly picked up his production skills.
His music got played and supported by the likes of Chez Damier, Patrice Scott, Fred P, Franck Roger and Mr G. He is featured on the “22 Beats” compilation from the highly regarded 22tracks and got interviewed by 22Sessions X Grolsch Kornuit. Last Mood is featured in Mixmag magazine and XLR8R: ‘Clearly, even the Netherlands is rightfully infatuated with the classic Detroit sound and Last Mood does an admirable job folding that influence into his work, as the swimming electric piano, rounded bassline, and grooving swing employed here have their roots in the classic Midwest sound.'
Let’s not forget to mention that he’s also one half of 25 Places (Balance Recordings, Dirt Crew, Liebe*Detail) and runs a label called ‘Late Night Running’ which is created out of sympathy for those who are willing to run hard for their beliefs. Late Night Running represents artists such as Dj Aakmael, Anaxander, Appian, Kareem Ali, Innerspace Halflife, Michael Zucker, Kamaho Adisa and more.
