Kasket (GB)

Artist
Kasket (Charlie Baldwin) was born and grew up in South London surrounded by family that was always into music. His father (Ray Russell) is a world renowned jazz guitarist and and his mother used to play the piano, same as his brother who also plays bass. Charlie’s first instrument was drums and he did a few tours and sessions with people such as Matt Berry and Geno Washington and has played along side Ralph Salmins, Gary Husband, Mo Foster and David Hentschel. Charlie started composing his own music at the age of 16 when he bought his first copy of Reason and began creating anything and everything. Putting music up on sites, and sharing with friends and obtaining some good reactions, he started wanting to make music a full time career not just a hobby. With many years working and searching Kasket has found a sound he is happy with but is always still looking. Raw recordings, live atmosphere, glitched up vocals and catchy melodies, Kasket now is ready to give it all he has and to show people his unique take on music. His first releases being with diaMind records (torn letters EP) and then the highly respected label Screwloose records (4her EP), Kasket has now placed his music with the legendary APOLLO (sister of R&S) with an EP that is due in out August and with more to come. He is also planning to gig his live set as much as he can using fly percussion, crazy sounds and hard hitting bass. Kasket’s live show is definitely something to watch out for.
