Jack Roland (US)

Jack Roland is a Swiss-American artist based in Amsterdam. Occasionally running under the alias ‘Andrea the Dreamer’, Roland’s sound is recognized for its detached, oneiric qualities and multi-genred aesthetic. After kicking off 2017 with two EPs, Roland hit back with a V/A on Dmitry Distant’s label Electronic Leatherette and his third EP ‘Control/Applications’ on Manchester’s Natural Sciences. Using club experiences as the instrument for the record, ‘Control / Applications’ is a split release born out of Amsterdam’s warehouse scene, fusing together electro matrix rhythms, IDM, with warped hums and breaks — all together forming an elemental tool of elevation and suppression.
