Halfgeleider (NL)

Halfgeleider is the alias of Maarten Voeten, a musician whose work sits at the intersection of modular synthesis, IDM, breakbeat and ambient textures. With the densely wired array of modules halfgeleider embraces the fragile volatile aspect of his system. Combining driving rhythms, melodies, field or speech sampling and layers of detuned sounds that give a nostalgic yet slightly unstable feel. The result balances precision and imperfection, structure and drift. According to insiders he has its own unique sound signature within the Belgian modular scene.
