Duncan Dick (GB)
Duncan Dick is the Editor of Mixmag, the world's biggest dance music and club culture magazine. Originally from a small village near Glasgow, he completed a degree in law and a post graduate diploma in journalism - during which a short period interning at Mixmag convinced him to move to London to try to become a freelance journalist.
When a staff position as Clubs Editor / Staff writer came up at the magazine in 2004, Duncan joined Mixmag full time, working his way up to Features and Deputy Editor before fulfilling his dream of becoming Editor in April 2015. Duncan's day to day job involves selecting with the team who and what to cover in each issue, editing the feature section and overseeing every facet of the magazine from pictures and design to copy and cover shoots. In November 2016 he also oversaw a complete redesign and relaunch of the magazine, which continues to evolve in terms of content and aesthetic.
With Mixmag evolving from primarily a print title to arguably the world's biggest dance music media brand, there are always far more things to do though: from giving DJ lessons on stage at Bestival to developing native content and event ideas for brand partnerships, from helping with artist liaison at Mixmag events to presentations and panels everywhere from Lost Village Festival and IMS in Ibiza to Smirnoff's Equalising Music project.
