Born a native of Chicago's south-side but mostly Michigan raised, he gives much credit for his introduction to his mother the late Rochelle Taylor, who would teach him music at home on a regular basis. His music roots were greatly influenced by the Detroit gospel music scene in which he credits much of training to the influence of the Clark sisters, Aretha Franklin, The Winans, Anita Baker, Luther Van Dross and Stevie Wonder. CT Martin got his debut in the house music scene in 2008 with the chart topping hit "Hands Up" mixed by London Production Team Wipe the Needle on the Sound men on wax followed later with My house is your house featured by Belgian Producer and House DJ Miss Mee released on Grant Nelson's Swing City Records Label November 2010. CT has featured on a release with Mark Mendes.
