Charlie Amter (US)

He worked for Warner Music Group's publishing arm, Warner/Chappell, from 2012 until 2017 as a staff A&R. Amter also managed/ran all social media for the company during that time period. He’s also a writer and was an A&R consultant on retainer for New York’s Ultra Records, which led to his full time hire at Warner/Chappell in January of 2012. A former Los Angeles Times staff writer and past frequent Times contributor to the paper’s Calendar section, Amter has covered nightlife, music and the occasional event for the Times. Additionally, Amter has reported on LA nightlife, hospitality & late night trends for Blackbook Magazine and his past work has appeared in publications ranging from Spin Magazine to the Guardian newspaper. Amter has previously worked as an online editor/producer at companies such NBC/Universal’s E! online to working at the National Director level doing publicity for labels such as Virgin Records. He also booked talent for Marc Maron's radio show (pre-podcast era). Amter has spoken on several panels at conferences such as By:Larm in Oslo, CMW in Toronto, MIDEM in Cannes, SXSW, Tune In Tel Aviv and more. He is currently consulting for several songwriters and DJs.
