Beyun (US)

Beyun moved to Atlanta at the start of 2017 to join DJ Pierre's Afro Acid team and further her craft under the legendary Acid House and Wild Pitch creator's mentorship. Since then, she has been touring with the Afro Acid label and holds a residency at Pierre's club Wildpitch. Born in the Philippines to a Ukrainian-American father, a German mother, and given a Korean name, Beyun grew up beyond nationalistic boundaries. Her introduction to house and techno came from Germany's legendary clubs Panorama Bar/Berghain, Tresor, and Robert Johnson. As a key contributor to Boston's underground scene from 2014-2017, Beyun established her roots as a DJ after founding the monthly techno party VAULT, which featured a forward-thinking lineup of emerging New England artists and legendary American producers. Since 2014, Beyun has shared the decks with DJ Pierre, Kevin Saunderson, Todd Terry, A Guy Called Gerald, Dennis Ferrer, The Black Madonna, DJ Minx, Fred P (Black Jazz Consortium), Kai Alce, Jeff Derringer, and Kim Ann Foxman.
