Sync's Hi-Tech Future and What It Means for You
Speakers: Nathan Duvall (Artist), Sander van Maarschalkerweerd (Founder, Sizzer), David Willie (CEO & Co-Founder, MAIA Universe)
Moderator: Virginie Berger
The process of creating and/or sourcing music for moving images is becoming ever more tech-led, with discovery data and tagging using much deeper analysis based on feature extraction to pull up relevant tracks. On top of that, algorithmic optimisation of pricing is maximising returns for catalogues and driving more dynamic pricing, and automated licensing and rights management are speeding up the issues that exist between tight brand deadlines and slow moving approvals and licensing. But perhaps most importantly for composers, usage tracking with more accurate data matching, and infringements efficiently caught or prevented, is growing sync revenues. ADE profiles the changes and the new opportunities thrown up by a highly dynamic situation.
