Beating the Crowd: How Music Moves the Game
Grayson Repp, Artist, Major events DJ and Music Director at FIFA and the creative mind behind the stadium soundtrack during the World Cup Final in Qatar, kicks off this panel on the powerful role of music in football culture. Based in Berlin, Repp brings a dance-focused perspective to stadium experiences: from choosing “Intro” by The XX for the world’s biggest penalty shootout, to syncing global sounds with unforgettable moments on the pitch. Together with key figures from the European football and music scene, we’ll dive into how clubs and federations use music to energize fans and build identity with a special focus on dance music’s growing role in that space. Think: the Armin van Buuren & Chef’Special collab with the Dutch national team, or how pre-match DJ sets are reshaping stadium vibes. Panelists include Mark Nipius (KNVB / Tribe Sports), the strategist behind Oranje’s music policy, and Tom Roberts (Shoot Music), who built a business around connecting labels with sports brands and stadiums. Expect insider stories, practical insights, and a deep dive into how to get your track into the game, literally.
Free admission, but please note: limited capacity and first come, first served.
