The ADE Green 2025 Community

Tuesday, 09 September 2025
ADE Green thrives on collaboration: the conference is powered by a network of organizations that believe culture can play a vital role in shaping a sustainable future. Each year, the sub-conference is joined by organizations that shape the way festivals, cities, and communities think about sustainability.

Following up on recent news about the opening specials of ADE 2025, we continue with ADE Green: the conference on sustainability and social change in the music industry. With ADE Green tickets now available, here are this year's partners and ambassadors. Their expertise ranges from circular design to sonic exploration, from building resilient infrastructures to creating cultural movements. Together, they form an ecosystem that pushes boundaries and shows what a greener future can look like. In this article, we introduce you to the organizations and individuals that made the 2025 edition possible.

Circularity & Systems Change

These partners bring structure and scale to ADE Green. They implement circular systems in infrastructure, urban life, and festivals, creating fertile ground for long-term transformation.

  • Circular Festivals ↗
A European coalition between 40+ organisations that reimagine festivals as testbeds for circular innovation. Through pilots and shared knowledge, they test new models for circularity that can inspire the wider industry and form a window to society.

  • Statiegeld Nederland ↗
After the deposit scheme was extended in the Netherlands to cover more packaging, festivals became one of the spaces to reach people. Statiegeld Nederland shows how systemic change connects with everyday behaviour.

  • VANG Buitenshuis ↗
Working across public spaces in the Netherlands, they focus on reducing waste and creating systems that make recycling second nature in daily life.

  • Bouwplaats van de Toekomst ↗
A construction site where circular principles guide every step. Their projects demonstrate how future cities can be built with reuse, adaptability, and resilience at their core.

  • City of Amsterdam ↗
The city has committed to becoming climate neutral and fully circular by 2050. ADE Green is one of the spaces where these ambitions connect with culture. In their words: “We aim to explore how we can address the complex challenges facing Amsterdam. By bringing together diverse perspectives and roles, we hope to shed light on these challenges in a holistic way. Events provide one of these perspectives, but we also focus on the contributions of policymakers, innovators, knowledge institutions, and impact makers. Together, we aim to inspire actionable solutions and foster meaningful collaborations.”

We are organising a unique 1:1 conversation between two very different artists that will show the power of meaningful dialogue and itself spark more conversations.”

  • Into the Great Wide Open ↗ – A festival taking place on the island of Vlieland in the Netherlands, that has become a benchmark for circular, fossil-free operation. In 2024 they ran on 95% renewable energy, and they continue to push towards emission-free operations while inspiring the wider cultural sector.

  • ID&T ↗ – With a legacy that shaped festival culture across the Netherlands, ID&T has been central to building the foundations of ADE Green in its beginning. Read more about our partnership with ID&T below.
