TwICE (GB)

UK born and Italy based dj and record collector. Part of the Sounds Familiar eclectic crew (www.soundsfamiliar.it), he’s the man behind the Black Aroma project: released as 4 track EPs and exclusively on vinyl, the Black Aroma edits combine a versatile mix of slow & uptempo jams with a firm grip of the modern dancefloor. Supported and played by djs and producers like Theo Parrish, Marcellus Pittman, Volcov, Glenn Underground, Hunee, Floating Points, Sadar Bahar, Lee Collins, Red Greg (just to name a few), Black Aroma is going for its 7th release in 2014. Even though it has a mainly black influenced background, you never know what to expect from a Black Aroma release: anything that has groove will fit, smoothly adapted & fixed to have its own space in today’s dancefloors. 2014 is also the year that gave birth to Flying Machines, a new project that TwICE put together with his friend and dj, NATIVE: compared to the black aromas, this edit/original tracks series is more of a conceptual, spacey trip into the forgotten and obscure vaults of electronic music. Only on vinyl and with special limited picture disc releases. He is also working on a release of original productions with musicians from his own town, Verona. TwICE is the resident dj and artistic director of ROOTS Corte Radisi, Verona, Italy: a seminal and unique club where he had the honour and pleasure to spin with absolute masters of the scene like Theo Parrish, Sadar Bahar, Lee Collins, Waajeed and many others. His dj sets cover a wide range of genres, styles and tempos, from old to new sounds, all put together in an original and fresh blend.
