Svärm is the stage alias of Swedish, Rotterdam-based techno DJ and producer Liam Johnson. His musical journey began at 13 with taking classical piano and keyboard lessons, before discovering the raw energy of electronic music and underground club culture. After relocating from Stockholm to the Netherlands, he refined his craft through graduating from the Advanced DJ Program at Amsterdam DJ School and the Artist Development Program at Music Production Academy in Rotterdam. Inspired by artists such as Oscar Mulero, Rødhåd, Arthur Robert, Planetary Assault Systems, and Rival Consoles, Svärm crafts emotive techno that blends deep, raw rhythms with nostalgic textures and cinematic soundscapes. His live performances immerse audiences in a journey that moves both body and mind, bridging underground club energy with emotional storytelling.
