Steven Jones (Keyote) (US)

Keyote (born Steven Jones) is a DC native who grew up on ‘Chocolate City’s’ own brand of soul, funk, rock, and go-go. Those sounds eventually gave way to hip hop, Afrobeat, and other sounds of resistance from around the world. Steven moved to the Netherlands in 2010 and in 2012, Steven founded Education Jones. His company provides direction instruction, and mentoring for students of all ages, specializing in students with learning differences and social emotional issues. Currently he also volunteers at The Matrixx in Nieuwe Sloten, various refugee sites in and around Amsterdam leading educational and social activities for residents of these facilities. As Steven is a connoisseur when it comes to music, and more specific that is used in the context of protest and social activism, during our ADE night he will enlighten us with some of the most amazing tunes. And on top of that, there will be a synergetic performance between him and the musicians of Afrogrooves!
