Digital 21 + Stefan Olsdal (GB)

Veteran electronic artist DIGITAL 21 combines with PLACEBO’s STEFAN OLSDAL to form the band "DIGITAL 21 + STEFAN OLSDAL".

DIGITAL 21 began playing music in 1988 and is one of the pioneers in the Spanish electronic music scene by combining electronic music with classical music instruments +video art.

STEFAN OLSDAL is a one-half (and a founder member) of the iconic alternative rock band PLACEBO (since the '90s). To date, PLACEBO have released 8 studio albums, all of which entered the UK Top 20, selling millions of records and headlining festivals worldwide.

12 years ago, they decided to join forces simply as ‘DIGITAL 21 + STEFAN OLSDAL’. Both are multi-instrumentalists with 30 years of experience in the music and their own recording studios. Digital 21 is also the band’s visual artist, painting the artwork and making the official videos.

Both equally share a passion for electronic, rock and classical music. Their music is a contemporary hybrid of electronic music, mixing up club sounds and classical instruments like the church organ or the string quartet. Their concerts are an audiovisual experience. Video art on screens, their string quartet and a journey across club sounds with an audiovisual storm and also delicate moments with their string quartet.
