Sophia Margerison (GB)

Sophia Margerison is currently the Head of Business Development and Artist Strategy at YMU Management. This role uniquely blends client support, A&R expertise, and live strategy. She's a driving force behind new business initiatives and expanding the team's roster.

Formerly the Head of Live Music Partnerships at Pollen, Sophia orchestrated standout events, including a rapid sell-out four-day rock weekend featuring Bring Me the Horizon in Malta. This accomplishment showcased her skill in crafting unforgettable live experiences on a global scale.

Prior to this, Sophia made her mark at Virgin EMI Records, where her role as a Senior A&R Executive led to artist signings with Kawala, Ebenezer and Maximillian and collaborations with Duke Dumont, Jonas Blue, and more. Her influence was pivotal in enriching the label's international offerings too.

Sophia’s earlier career began in the agency world, where she spent 6 years as an agent at United Talent Agency in Los Angeles, building a diverse roster of artists like Kelis, Estelle, and Manic Street Preachers, as well as emerging talents like Alec Benjamin and JP Cooper.
