Sonya Okon (US)

Sonya Okon is a Russian-American native New Yorker who heads the Digital department at Helix Records. With the help of her global team, Sonya oversees the pitching, digital promotion, radio promotion, and social strategy for the labels’ releases and handles the relationships with the labels’ digital partners across DSPs, radio and tech. At only 25-years-old, she has led the digital & streaming strategy across album & EP campaigns for Snakehips, San Holo, Model Man, Kaleena Zanders, Jamie Jones, among many others. She graduated NYU in 2020 with degrees in Psychology and Entertainment & Tech Business. Though graduating during a global pandemic wasn’t easy, she was able to land a job on the Digital team at Ultra Records and was immediately thrown in to working on the latest projects from Black Coffee and Sofi Tukker. When she isn't working, Sonya can be found mid-crowd or blasting Dubstep music in her headphones.
