Sanjay Dutta needs no introduction to the club loving circuit and takes the onus of a career spanning over 23 years in the Dj’ing industry, with ease and consistency. Master of Progressive/ Tech-House to Techno and Trance, he fulfils every clubber’s outing in spades. With humble beginnings to holding residencies at the hottest nightclubs in Kolkata, from Someplace Else & Tantra (Park Hotel) to Incognito (Taj Bengal), those times have been breath-taking to witness. His early influences of electronic dance music came through the stalwarts of the industry such as Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Nick Warren and Danny Tenaglia to name a few. Sanjay forged an unequalled music revolution in Kolkata during the 90′s when his explorations made him travel overseas, returning with wonderful records and turning his residencies in to musical warehouse capers, very much reminiscent of the West. Not only did he play those tunes but also created many musical journeys, which he alone is synonymous with. Sanjay Dutta’s brand of electronic dance music is fresh, fun and versatile, ensuring every outing has a build up, a bright crescendo and a magical ending. There isn’t a club console or festival that Sanjay Dutta hasn’t graced in his illustrious career. Always promoting the underground in the Indian music scene, Sanjay has initiated a weekly podcast, by the name of COALITION which is dedicated to bringing the best of music from India and names celebrated globally on the fortnightly guest Dj slots. He also spearheads one of the most prolific dance music festivals called D.U.S.K (Deejays United to Serve Kolkata). Held twice a year it has become the biggest dance music extravaganza in all of Eastern India. Apart from featuring every year on SUNBURN GOA lineups, he has played alongside a galaxy of renowned performers such as John Digweed, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Sander Van Doorn, Judge Jules to Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Dash Berlin and J00f. Sanjay’s tech-savvy music supremacy stands as a testament for all time. The unanimous choice for the Jury award for Best Electronic Dj award at MyFavDj in 2010, an online poll dedicated for artists in India, rests on his name as well, clearly making him the Dj’s Dj.
