Richard Parkinson (GB)

Speaker
Rich started his career running his own recording studio and label in South London while studying at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford. After graduating from University, he turned his attention to Dubstep which developed into the Post-Dubstep scene where his productions began to take influence. As the scene was growing it became apparent that there wasn't a centralized point to access new artists. This led Rich to create SubSoul. With roots on YouTube, SubSoul initially promoted a lot of early Post-Dubstep acts like Joy Orbison, Submerse and the then even younger Disclosure. While maintaining the role of SubSoul's founder/director, Rich also acts as co-curator with Luke Hood for the UKF network, is programmer of UKF's radio shows on Kiss FM and SiriusXM in the US and is also AEI's filter for music coming in from labels, PRs and managers trying to reach the company’s other music brands.
