MissChivers (GB)

Artist & Speaker

Yvette Chivers, AKA DJ MissChivers, has been a pioneer of blending old and new dance music for the
past 17 years. A collector of records, including Motown, since the age of 16, it is no surprise where her
influence has come from. She has spun in clubs and festivals both across the UK and further afield,
including Ministry of Sound and Secret Garden Party, never letting her degenerative vision loss hold
her back.
DJ MissChivers’s main passion is breakbeat, with elements of house and DnB included, and her sets are
always guaranteed to keep the dancefloor jumping. During her career, she has been involved with
various facets of the dance music industry, working with legends such as Wolfgang Flur (ex-
Kraftwork), OMD, Orbital, 808 State, Utah Saints and Talvin Singh.
After founding the international remix platform B-Side Project in 2009, Yvette focused on encouraging
collaborations between musicians and electronic music producers worldwide and developing outreach
for pro audio brands. As an experienced radio presenter, she has hosted Remix Review live broadcast
shows on a number of radio stations, including on festival radio at Secret Garden
Party and Boardmasters, and since 2021 the show has now firmly found its home with the Point Blank
Radio family.

MissChivers runs Sync Inspire CIC, a not-for-profit agency which has managed electronic music events
across the UK, partnering with well renowned organisations such as Finger Lickin’ and Hospital
Records, working with education establishments Access Creative, BIMM and Berklee Colleges, studios
including Metropolis and Tileyard, as well as providing social media, marketing campaigns, live stream
and physical events for pro audio brands and labels including Prism Sound, ADAM Audio, Tracktion
Software and the newly relaunched Record Records.

This year MissChivers has launched the CMY Records label, who’s first release is hitting the digital
platforms now. The EP, entitled “Directions”, comprises of four tracks she co-pro
